(monks drive corollas.)
04.12.2003 - 00:23

Trying to bring the family together is hard to do, but my mom managed to get both my sister and I to go to Houston with her to my (one of many second) cousin's wedding. It was a good time for my mom and my belly since I ate every five minutes (thanks Cousin Phuc). I met family my mom hasn't seen in 22 years, and I didn't even know they existed. Hot stuff, this long lost family get together.

It was ungodly cold for Houston on the wedding day and we had to walk barefoot in a cold cold Buddhist temple for the ceremony. But it was some sweetness, that wedding (although, how hard is it to turn off a cell phone? I can understand one idiot in the crowd, but 5?? Jeeezus), and at the end I caught a glimpse of monks putting on beanies and driving off in a Corolla. I drive a Corolla! Does this mean I am one with the flow of traffic? This could explain my luck on the road. I am a mean driver.

My cousin sent me a picture from our trip and it's a great picture, but what makes it even better is that my cousin titled it "The World Farewell." It makes me smile big.
